What do you do when you have a bride that LOVES to cook? You host a "kitchen theme" bridal shower!
As always, it's important to carry the "theme" out starting from the invitation! In this case, a lovely recipe card was included in the invitation inviting guests to bring along their favorite recipe to share with the bride!!
So excited to share some details:
Centerpieces - beautiful DIY painted and glittered "kitchen utensil" bouquet as well as flowers in a cheese grater "vase"

As a searched for inspiration for today's blog post, I was drawn to this quote by Eleanor Roosevelt. True in life and true in event planning.
People will always have something to say, no matter what. What matters is how you react to it. Do you let it change your mind? your vision? your dreams? Or do you file it away and move on!
When planning an event, you can't please everyone. Let me repeat that....you can not please everyone. But you know what, who cares? Be you, do you...
Here's a couple of simple things to help you follow your heart...
1. Close your eyes and envision your event. What does it look like? What are you wearing? Where are you? What's on the table?
2. Make a list -- write down your ideas for your event.
2. Review and tag what's most important to you. Those are the ideas you should focus on bringing to life exactly how you imagined them.
In the course of planning your event, many things will change, but what shouldn't are your core ideas. Follow your ideas, follow your heart, don't listen to the noise.
